PTAG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Waste Characterization Specialist to join our team in Chalk River, ON. As a key member of our Waste Services team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on waste characterization and management, ensuring the safe and efficient disposal of nuclear waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement waste characterization methods and techniques to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operations staff on waste management and characterization procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement waste management strategies and plans.
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest technological and scientific developments in waste characterization and management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in nuclear operations, specifically in waste management and characterization.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
