Position Overview

We are seeking a Vice President of Commercial Sales to strengthen our expanding Commercial Banking Client Coverage team.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in boosting revenue from both existing clients and new markets within the Treasury Management and Commercial Banking sectors. This will be achieved by identifying opportunities to leverage our data, software, and advisory services. The VP will collaborate with the Commercial Solutions Sales team and assist Senior Client Managers throughout the business development process, which includes pipeline management, crafting sales materials, providing expertise on commercial solutions, conducting demonstrations, and managing client relationships and sales cycles.

The successful candidate will be dynamic, entrepreneurial, a quick learner, and an independent self-starter with a passion for sales development. They will have the necessary relationship management skills to engage top market prospects and possess commercial banking expertise to be recognized as a Subject Matter Expert. The VP should be highly organized, technically proficient, intellectually curious, and have a history of exceeding sales targets while thriving in a fast-paced environment. The ability to manage multiple competing priorities is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the commercial distribution solutions at a Subject Matter Expert level, along with the associated development roadmaps.
  • Assist Client Managers and Product Owners in selling solutions to senior-level prospects and existing clients, including opportunity qualification, strategy input, solutions architecture, and conducting value-based demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Delivery teams to strategize, prepare, and execute on complex sales cycles.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations and demonstrations that effectively communicate the unique value proposition and its application to client needs.
  • Gather and document competitive intelligence, providing insights to product, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Lead industry webinars and spearhead campaign development for distribution products and solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in commercial banking sales performance, with experience in distribution solutions or advisory firms.
  • Proven ability to explain and present complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data, including advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in retail banking analytics.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including creativity in presentations.
  • Strong PowerPoint development and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding project management capabilities with the ability to deliver time-sensitive research findings accurately and insightfully.
  • Hands-on experience with commercial banking solutions, products, and pricing structures.
  • Strong storytelling, data visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, working with data to extract key insights, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive Base Salary of $150,000 annually complemented by a lucrative commission structure designed to reward exceptional performance. The anticipated Total Compensation Range is $200,000 – $250,000 .
