As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a passionate individual to join our Safety Team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety protocols across our various operations, including Cement, Aggregates, and Ready-Mix.

The selected candidate will engage in diverse projects and site visits, contributing to our overarching safety initiatives. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with various teams and develop vital management and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

The following duties are essential; additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

  • Safety Administration, which includes:
  • Gathering and documenting injury and accident information for continuous monthly reporting across North America
  • Utilizing data to maintain OSHA 300 Logs for year-end compliance
  • Assisting with reporting and follow-up for workplace safety incidents
  • Contributing to the development of safety policies and programs, including monthly safety communications and educational materials
  • Conducting site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Participating in special projects related to safety improvement

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or diploma from a recognized Technical school or University
  • One to two years of relevant experience or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation
  • A strong motivation for safety excellence and a proactive approach
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work autonomously
  • Capability to perform under pressure while meeting deadlines and high expectations
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Proficient in writing reports and business correspondence, with the ability to effectively present information
  • Knowledge of MS Office, PI, SAP, and Ariba systems
