Role Overview: As a Manufacturing Process Engineer specializing in photo etching, you will engage in a non-traditional micro fabrication and manufacturing method that integrates photo-resist imaging with chemical etching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and guidance on engineering modifications to current systems.
  • Possess a solid understanding of micro fabrication processes and metal fabrication techniques.
  • Analyze and enhance processes, material flows, data management, equipment, and layouts.
  • Conceptualize and plan the detailed realization of end-to-end processes within the production facility (production/logistics).
  • Collaborate with Engineering to assist in the development, design, and construction of new manufacturing products and processes.
  • Deliver process engineering and operational support for the launch of new programs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Guarantee that production timelines are met while adhering to quality standards.
  • Oversee quality control and production planning.
  • Schedule production based on client specifications and provide insightful feedback to senior management regarding potential bottlenecks or necessary process adjustments.
  • Translate customer specifications into models, documentation packages, and manufacturing process codes, ensuring adherence to ISO and ASTM standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CAD and possess knowledge of precision component and sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Hold a degree in mechanical engineering, production/manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering (Bachelor's degree minimum; Master's preferred).
  • Familiarity with photo lithography and MEMS fabrication techniques is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication/assembly and composite manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Understand costing, capacity, ERP systems, and process flow within a manufacturing environment.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical personnel, both verbally and in writing.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Engage in project planning, optimization, and implementation for processes, material flows, layouts, and production equipment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Process Development, and Project Engineering is essential.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills and strong mechanical/system/process troubleshooting abilities.
