Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will support lean initiatives, design of new equipment/processes or modification to existing equipment/processes, qualification testing, and development/updates of documents within our lean manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, preparing & modifying Quality inspection sheet, BOM, working instruction, PFMEA, PFC, etc for both new development programs and engineering changes to existing programs.
  • Provide consultation to design and process owners with regards to design verification and design validation protocols and reports.
  • Act as primary liaison with 3rd party subcontractors who are helping accelerate commercialization of our technologies.
  • Provide knowledge with respect to the applicable technology to facilitate participation in technical discussions and risk-based decision making.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process equipment problems to minimize down time and recommend solutions.
  • Assist in training production operators on the operation, set-up, safety and maintenance of machines and processes.
  • Develop PM schedules as it pertain to CNC machines and other equipment, and Continuously maintain and optimize of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Assist in the coordination of prototyping of new products or parts from initial conception to finish product using existing processes and/or contracted processes.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineers in the definition and selection of new processes and equipment as well as support of capital funds submission process where appropriate.
  • Support Production personnel on engineering-related issues when necessary.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives, such as Optimizing existing manufacturing processes to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and boost productivity, quality, and profitability through new fixture/tool design and/or new technologies.
  • Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System.
  • Demonstrate company values, works with integrity and a supportive corporate member.
  • Comply with the Health & Safety policies of the company and inform Management of unsafe working conditions.

Requirements

  • College Diploma or educated to Engineering Technologist Level.
  • 3+ years' experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and use of manufacturing documentation creation.
  • Knowledge and excellent use of general office computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google App Suite).
  • Ability to read and verify technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
