About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Construction Manager to join our team at Meridia Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for supporting new and ongoing project growth, challenging industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental protection on all assigned job sites;
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and regulations;
  • Mentor and guide on-site teams, fostering an environment of collaboration, excellence, and success;
  • Collaborate with trade partners and consultants to drive the construction schedule, ensuring all milestones and completion targets are met;
  • Recommend creative methods to boost efficiency and project excellence;
  • Collaborate with Project Manager's during site start-up, effectively supporting and acting as a role model in client coordination meetings;
  • Maintain updated and accurate records and inventory for all projects;
  • Play an integral role in the project wrap-up process, celebrating successful achievements with your team(s).

Requirements

  • Minimum (5) years' experience working as a Superintendent in the general contracting or construction management sector working on ICI projects;
  • A construction-related certificate or diploma/degree would be considered a strong asset;
  • A strong track record of project success as a Superintendent, coupled with a natural ability to promote team collaboration;
  • Demonstrated experience managing safety regulations, project scheduling, quality, and cost control;
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and come up with creative solutions to overcome barriers that arise over the course of a project;
  • Strong computer skills, as well as demonstrated experience using project scheduling software.
