Job Summary

Principal Data Engineer Opportunity at Vancouver Coastal Health

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Engineer to join their Data & Analytics Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading technical teams to architect, build, and deploy cloud solutions to support assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support technical teams to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Databricks.
  • Work closely with other VCH technical teams to ensure the department's ability to deliver and promote cloud-based solutions within the enterprise environments.
  • Apply strong design, migration, administration, and support experience in MS Azure and Databricks environments.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, or a data-intensive related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a data engineer or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience is required.
