Yorkville Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons in delivering high-quality oral surgery procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for dental examinations by assisting with seating, gathering medical history, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Collaborate with surgeons by preparing instruments, materials, and equipment required for various procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile and organized environment by sterilizing instruments, managing supplies, and adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
  • Assist with taking and developing X-rays as needed.
  • Process patient invoices and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a dental assistant is an asset but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, surgeons, and staff.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a positive work atmosphere.
