About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at HTL Dental. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation
    • Prepare patients for dental examinations by explaining procedures, taking medical histories, and obtaining vital signs.
    • Prepare dental instruments and equipment for procedures.
  • Supporting Dental Procedures
    • Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures, such as taking X-rays, preparing impressions, and polishing teeth.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to emergencies.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and scheduling appointments.
    • Process insurance claims and handle billing.
  • Maintenance and Organization
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing instruments and disposing of biohazardous waste.
    • Order dental supplies and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a dental setting.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Healing Arts Radiation Protection (HARP) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Area of Specialization
    • Experience with full dentures, partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, crowns and bridges, and ceramic or porcelain application.
Work Environment

HTL Dental is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and excellent communication skills. As a Dental Assistant, you will work in a team environment and be expected to be a reliable and efficient team player.
