About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Ahmic Lake Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Cost Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure optimal profitability.
  • Culinary Leadership: Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to our cooking staff, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Training: Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes.
  • Menu Development: Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, showcasing your culinary expertise and creativity.
  • Food Safety: Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and optimal stock levels.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, providing exceptional service and ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Staff Management: Recruit and hire staff, training them in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, to maintain a high-performing kitchen team.
