Senior Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate engineering projects, preparing estimates for materials, costs, timelines, and design specifications for machinery and systems. Assume full responsibility for the process, including documentation, troubleshooting, enhancements, maintenance, and training. Ensure that production processes meet specified part specifications. Direct cross-functional teams to guarantee successful project launches. Develop and manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documentation. Spearhead the creation of Process Flows, Process Sheets, FMEA's, and Control Plans. Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Aid in the preparation of cost proposals. Comply with TS16949 standards and relevant customer requirements. Engage in ongoing professional development through seminars and conferences, and pursue self-directed learning through industry literature and publications. Stay informed about emerging technologies and advancements in engineering.

Required Qualifications

A degree in engineering or a related field. Between five to seven years of relevant experience. Proficient in tracking data for various performance and maintenance metrics using maintenance tracking software. Analyze failure rates, mean time between failures, and labor and material costs associated with equipment maintenance to identify opportunities for cost reduction. Skilled in selecting appropriate materials and equipment for projects, as well as determining applicable codes and standards. Capable of choosing suitable measuring tools and methodologies. Familiarity with electrical and electronic schematics, blueprints, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Consult product specification resources to ascertain the capacities, dimensions, and pricing of specific equipment. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and managers for guidance and updates. Competent in coordinating and integrating efforts within teams of engineers and technicians on shared projects. Take on project management responsibilities to facilitate collaboration among engineers, contractors, technicians, and suppliers. Experience in Project Management and APQP methodologies. Proficient in FMEA development. Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. Experienced in utilizing statistical analysis software and computer-aided design, manufacturing, and machining tools.
