Position Overview

Role Summary

As a key member of the RBC Royal Trust team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the Philanthropic Services division by delivering exceptional client support. This innovative team is dedicated to providing a philanthropic framework that integrates wealth management with charitable contributions. Your responsibilities will include overseeing various financial operations to ensure precise tracking, processing, reconciliation, documentation, and reporting of transactions associated with the management of a charitable public foundation, which serves as a crucial resource for donors, professional advisors, financial institutions, and charitable organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with investment advisors, associates, donors, and charitable entities to facilitate requests related to charitable gift fund and public foundation management.
  • Administer the processing of cash and securities donations in accordance with established policies and grant disbursement protocols.
  • Prepare necessary follow-up documentation for charitable gift transactions, grant requests, and ongoing fund management.
  • Assist in gathering, coordinating, and facilitating information and documentation to ensure that foundation operations and charitable gift fund management comply with program guidelines, relevant legislation, client requirements, company policies, and departmental goals.
  • Utilize technology effectively to enhance operational efficiencies and ensure comprehensive documentation of all files.
  • Ensure client expectations are met by adhering to key deliverables and timelines.
  • Perform additional clerical and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in estate and trust administration, charitable foundations, or general administrative processing.
  • A University Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Experience in client or donor servicing, preferably within a financial services or charitable organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written, is an asset.
  • Previous experience in the charitable sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with administration in a wealth management context is beneficial.
  • Comfort with process-oriented tasks and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
