About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at THE RANCH HOUSE RESTAURANT. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other support staff.
    • Train and develop staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and ensure that they are ordered and received in a timely manner.
    • Supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as needed.
  • Inventory and Record-Keeping
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations and inventory levels.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and follow health and safety procedures.
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and meet health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience in a kitchen or food service environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Food Safety Certificate.
    • Safe Food Handling certificate.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
