Nuclear Procurement Specialist

Join Black & McDonald's Power Generation division as a Nuclear Procurement Specialist. In this role, you will oversee the acquisition of components for nuclear systems, managing the process from Request for Quotation (RFQ) through to Purchase Order (PO) completion. Your responsibilities will include negotiating agreements, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, interpreting technical documentation, and formulating procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate procurement contracts while ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations
  • Analyze technical specifications to determine procurement needs
  • Create and manage procurement strategies and monitor purchasing activities
  • Solicit quotes from vendors and finalize orders
  • Contribute to the formulation of purchasing policies
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients and suppliers
  • Review and authorize invoices for payment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement within the nuclear sector or related fields
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and practices
  • Proficient in computer applications and possess strong communication abilities
