In this role, you will oversee the acquisition of materials and services essential for nuclear operations, managing the entire procurement process from request for quotation (RFQ) to purchase order (PO) completion. Your expertise will be crucial in negotiating agreements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and interpreting technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and finalize purchasing agreements while ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations.
- Analyze and interpret technical specifications to meet procurement needs.
- Formulate and implement procurement strategies while monitoring purchasing activities.
- Solicit and evaluate supplier quotes, placing orders as necessary.
- Contribute to the formulation of purchasing policies and procedures.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Review and authorize invoices for payment.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement within the nuclear energy sector or similar fields.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and practices.
- Proficient in computer applications and possess strong communication abilities.
