We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Governance Specialist to join our Governance Treasury team at National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of risk and the implementation of best practices in governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and document all Treasury activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify guiding principles, standards, and obligations, and implement mechanisms to ensure adherence to them.
  • Assess and structure decision-making processes to ensure effective risk management and governance.
  • Support the team in planning, establishing, and following up on priorities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Oversee the development of business governance by cataloguing and implementing best practices, ensuring a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Integrate the business strategy into the risk management framework, ensuring a proactive and forward-thinking approach to risk management.
About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic team of five colleagues, reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Governance, Treasury, and Pension Fund. Our team is known for its cross-functional role with Treasury financing and investment trading teams, and we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality results in a collaborative and enriching work environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 to 7 years of relevant professional experience, or master's degree and 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to synthesize information, strong desire to learn and develop in a complex field.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of documentation tools such as Confluence and Viadee.
Language Requirements

English and French are the primary languages required for this role. You will need to communicate effectively with our service providers and partners who speak a language other than French.
