Job Title: Senior Data Governance Specialist

At CBC/Radio-Canada, we are seeking a Senior Data Governance Specialist to join our Finance Data Governance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for all data management activities across Finance, other cross-functional areas with an emphasis in procurement.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and refine data governance frameworks and policies tailored to finance and procurement functions.
  • Take ownership and ensure successful execution of the organization's goals independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage the profiling and analysis of data quality issues within specified data domains and business functions.
  • Work closely with data owners and governance pods to identify critical data quality problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Ensure the implementation of data quality standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.


Requirements:


  • Strong background in finance and especially procurement functions.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in data governance or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data quality tools, data management processes, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in leading data governance initiatives and mentoring teams in complex organizational settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Desirable Skills:


  • Deep experience in finance and procurement data management.
  • Experience with E-Procurement - ERP in Data Management.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards affecting data privacy and governance.
  • It's an asset if you have a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) designation or other Certifications in data governance or quality management (e.g., DGSP).
