About the Role
The British Columbia Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU) is a leading research institution dedicated to improving addiction care across BC. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and communities affected by substance use.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and prescreen potential participants for research studies
- Conduct structured interviews with eligible participants
- Assist with data collection and entry
- Ensure adherence to informed consent procedures and ethical guidelines
- Review questionnaires for completeness and accuracy
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- High school graduation and some additional training in a related field
- Minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health care, social services, or social sciences
- Two years' experience in frontline services
- Experience working with marginalized populations
- Experience with semi-structured or structured interviewing techniques
- Research experience or training
