Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Manager to join our team at Northwood Restaurant Ltd. as a key member of our restaurant operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring a high level of quality and efficiency.
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Food Service Management
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing inventory.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Staff Management
    • Hire and train food service staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business growth.
    • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, requiring strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and a team player attitude, essential for building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
