Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our team at Moody Hall Enhanced Care in Bedford, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and administer individual and group physical therapy programs, under the direction of the Physiotherapist.
- Assist residents with therapeutic intervention programs, such as range of motion, progressive resistive and stretching, ADLs.
- Document resident progress and respond to changes in their condition, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain equipment inventory and assist with department audits, cleaning, and inspections.
We are looking for a candidate with a Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. Previous experience working in a long-term care environment is an asset. You should have knowledge of basic resident care practices and principles.
