Physiotherapy Aide

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Therapy Assistant to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and administer individual and group physical therapy sessions, including exercises and activities designed to improve mobility and function.
- Assist residents with therapeutic interventions, such as range of motion, progressive resistive exercises, and stretching, under the direction of the Physiotherapist.
- Document resident progress and respond to changes in their condition, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the Physiotherapist and other healthcare team members.
- Maintain equipment inventory and assist with department audits, cleaning, and inspections.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong passion for delivering exceptional resident care. To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma from an approved college or a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology.
- Previous experience working in a long-term care environment, preferably in a therapy or rehabilitation setting.
- Knowledge of basic resident care practices and principles, including dementia care and U-first training.
