The Manufacturing Process Specialist will focus on crafting software solutions for CNC and waterjet machinery while supporting the production workflow through the effective execution of streamlined manufacturing processes. This position necessitates close collaboration with engineers and production personnel to implement creative solutions and uphold superior manufacturing standards.
- Employing Jetcam (nesting) software to optimize the tooling of raw materials on the waterjet and ensuring correct operation and execution of the waterjet.
- Utilizing MasterCam software to generate CNC operating programs for produced components.
- Aiding the production workflow through the use of the ERP system to manage and monitor material movements, including job initiation and closure within the ERP system, as well as reviewing components for quality assurance inspections.
- Assisting with the release of engineering drawings and schedules from the engineering team to the production team.
- Supporting the detailing of engineering drawings and facilitating the implementation of process modifications.
- Evaluating manufacturing data to pinpoint trends and opportunities for enhancement.
Who is the ideal candidate?
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing engineering technology, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including programming machining software or quality assurance.
- Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
- Experience or training in Design for Manufacture.
- Knowledge of machining practices, utilizing various equipment and materials.
- Proficiency in Jetcam software for waterjet systems is an asset.
- Preferred experience in CNC operations.
