The Personal Care Assistant plays a vital role in our community, fostering connections and providing essential support to our residents.
As a Personal Care Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Keeping accurate resident records and necessary documentation in line with organizational policies and legal standards.
- Administering prescribed medications and monitoring changes in residents' health, reporting any concerns to the Wellness Director.
- Notifying the Wellness Director or General Manager of any incidents, health issues, or concerns regarding residents.
- Guiding Guest Attendants to ensure care tasks are completed and that any changes in residents' needs are communicated to the Wellness Director.
- Ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents by applying infection control measures.
- Carrying out additional tasks as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a Personal Service Worker certification program.
- Successful completion of on-site Medication Administration training and ongoing quarterly competency evaluations.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Current certification in CPR.
- Experience in senior care and understanding of the aging process.
- All candidates must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medication administration is advantageous.
