Personal Support Worker

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Personal Support Worker to provide companionship, personal care, and health maintenance services to clients in their homes or community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assess client needs and develop personalized care plans under the guidance of the Personal Support Program Manager.
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as light housekeeping and meal preparation.
- Support clients with daily activities, such as walking, climbing stairs, and using the bathroom.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Monitor and maintain client safety, adhering to VON's risk management policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CCA Certification (Nova Scotia) or equivalent.
- Personal Support Worker program or Health Care Aide certification.
- Standard First Aid Certificate or CPR level C Certificate (if applicable).
- Experience working with elderly or ill individuals or children.
