Senior Business Analyst - Capital Markets - Change Management/Trading

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst specializing in Capital Markets and Change Management for a significant project within the Banking Sector.

Role Overview

  • Engage in one of the bank's major initiatives to modernize the derivatives and trading settlement platform.
  • Currently navigating through the third phase of migrating trading books.
  • Work within the Portfolio & Change Management (PCM) group, primarily as a Senior Business Analyst.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project parameters, success metrics, solutions, and timelines while implementing best practices in process analysis, requirements documentation, project planning, testing, and stakeholder communication.
  • Be part of a global PCM team with members located in various regions.
  • Report to the Canadian PCM team.
  • Oversee testing initiatives and participate as necessary.
  • Analyze workflow processes by developing Business Process Maps for current and proposed operational systems, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Facilitate meetings to address challenges and work closely with Subject Matter Experts and Project Managers to outline effective solutions.
  • Prepare precise, timely, and compliant documentation and reports, focusing on Business Requirements.
  • Deliver high-quality service consistently, aiming to exceed client expectations.
  • Coordinate with IT teams during the development of Functional Specification and Design documents.
  • Manage multiple project tasks effectively.
  • Handle project communications, including status updates to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong internal and external working relationships.
  • Develop user guides and training materials as needed.
  • Track and report on project status in a consistent format to senior management.
  • Timely escalation of any issues requiring management attention.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Business Analysis.
  • Background in Change Management.
  • Familiarity with operational support systems such as Rates Infinity, Murex, Swapswire/MarkitWire, Bloomberg, TradeWeb, and Xceptor.
  • Proficient in JIRA and Confluence.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.).
