AMANST Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services to clients with diverse business and technological needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements.
  • Prepare and advise on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice within the organization.
  • Lead and conduct business analysis to assess client business problems/opportunities and document business requirements in a way that I&IT solutions can be determined.
  • Apply re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
  • Develop strategies, prepare business cases, and conduct cost-benefit analysis for business I&IT initiatives.
  • Develop sound processes for requirements gathering, including JAD sessions, interviews, mockups, etc.
  • Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
  • Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report regularly to I&IT management and stakeholders.
  • Develop performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conduct follow-up.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of extensive experience in business analysis, with a strong understanding of systems environments, business analysis, and change management in projects or programs related to integrated multi-ministries' government services.
  • Knowledge and experience in preparing detailed analysis and recommendations to ensure compliance with appropriate public sector, industry, and international standards on security, privacy, and accessibility.
  • Ability to assist with security issues that could impact developed front-end and integrated systems.
  • Experience in producing business and technical documentation and agreements.
  • Experience with architectural framework systems, specifically Zachman Framework.
  • Checkpoints, TRA, PIA, Component architecture, Design patterns.
  • Thorough experience with Logical and Physical Architecture artifacts.
  • Experience and knowledge on how to develop user stories based on engagements with program areas and drafting acceptance test criteria for developers and testers.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in the use of information retrieval packages.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  • Ability to translate business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions.
  • Experience with a wide range of methods, tools, and techniques for business analysis, such as business functional modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping.
  • Experience in structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies for user requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
