Job Summary:

The Gabriel Dumont Institute is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant III to provide exceptional clerical support to our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our front-end reception, responding to public inquiries, and providing administrative assistance to our Employment Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to public inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage front-end reception, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist with clerical tasks, such as data entry, filing, and maintaining spreadsheets.
  • Arrange travel and book client appointments as needed.
  • Organize meetings and events, including preparing agendas and materials.
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets and other administrative tools to support the team.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with Institute staff and other external agencies.
  • Extensive understanding of Métis culture, employment, and training needs.
  • Certificate or diploma in Office Education, Office Administration, or business college training.
  • Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, Outlook, mail merge, and other computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced office environment and may be required to travel occasionally.
