Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Floor Leader to join our team at Lush. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading a team of sales associates to achieve and surpass their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Experience:

  • Driving Sales: Utilize sales data and analytics to inform coaching and feedback to the sales team, and make adjustments to the shop floor structure to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Customer Experience: Lead by example in delivering a world-class customer experience, including product demonstrations and consultations. Foster a culture of excellence in customer service to drive sales and create a loyal customer base.
  • Building the Brand: Educate customers on Lush brand values and articulate our position on key issues such as animal testing, sustainability, and social responsibility.
  • Product Passion: Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge to make informed recommendations and drive sales.

Team Involvement:

  • Development: Train and coach sales associates on effective sales techniques and product knowledge to improve their performance and drive sales.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: Foster a sense of belonging by promoting teamwork, encouraging collaboration, and recognizing and valuing each employee's unique contributions.

Operational Excellence:

  • Cash Handling and Store Opening/Closing: Manage cash handling, including customer transactions, opening and closing the register, and reconciling cash drawers.
  • Time and Attendance: Lead by example in terms of attendance and punctuality, and encourage the same from all employees.
  • Visuals and Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store to enhance the customer's shopping experience and drive sales.
  • Stock and Inventory: Train sales associates on inventory best practices and support management with inventory tasks.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and sales.
  • Cash handling and opening/closing procedures.
  • Supervisory experience involving coaching, feedback, and training.
  • Problem-solving issues related to customer service in day-to-day operations.
  • A fast-paced team environment.
  • Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred:

  • Experience with consultation-based customer service models.
  • Experience analyzing sales metrics.
  • Experience working in skincare or cosmetics.
  • Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training.
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages.
