As an Occupational Therapist at VHA, you will play a vital role in assessing and providing interventions to pediatric clients in their homes and/or schools. You will collaborate with families and the client care team to develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and enhance well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric clients, identifying areas requiring occupational therapy intervention.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care delivery.
  • Provide ongoing support and education to clients and their families regarding strategies for promoting independence and functional skills.
  • Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with professional standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with pediatric clients in a home health setting is preferred.
