Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in a pediatric care setting. As an Occupational Therapist at VHA, you will work with a diverse group of pediatric clients in their schools, assessing and providing consultation, recommendations, and interventions using evidence-based best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide consultation, recommendations, and interventions to pediatric clients in their schools
  • Ensure coordinated delivery of care through ongoing communication with the client care team
  • Problem-solve in collaboration with the client and care team to create opportunities for more independence
  • Model skills and strategies, and advocate on behalf of the student's needs
  • Focus on intervention areas such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, printing, typing, motor planning, visual perception, ADLs, sensory processing, self-regulation, and executive functioning
Requirements
  • Member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
  • Valid Driver's License with access to a vehicle
  • Minimum 2 years pediatric clinical experience (optimal)
