POSITION OVERVIEW

At Black & McDonald Limited, we are expanding our Saskatchewan Service team. We seek a dedicated and collaborative professional eager to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment.

As a Building Services Technician, reporting directly to the Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for executing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks across various facilities. Your role will ensure that all buildings function safely and efficiently. You will also oversee the work performed by subcontractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with our established codes of conduct, health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as any specific protocols required by our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a rotation of HVAC maintenance and document readings
  • Change filters, belts, and perform coil cleaning
  • Execute daily maintenance tasks, including equipment adjustments, inspections, and cleaning
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as agreed upon with clients and Black & McDonald

Experience Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical role related to HVAC services and equipment
  • Experience with Building Automation Controls is advantageous but not mandatory
  • 5th Class Power Engineer certification, including Fireman's Certificate, is a plus but not essential

  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Maintain professionalism in interactions with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients
  • Complete all assigned duties and tasks diligently
  • Adhere to all company policies and standards
  • Capability to work on ladders or scaffolds at various heights
  • Ability to lift up to 30 kg, involving bending and lifting
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces, with training provided
  • Must be able to obtain Federal Government Security Clearance
