ABOUT THIS POSITION

Black & McDonald Limited is expanding its Saskatchewan Service team. We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative professional who is eager to contribute to a dynamic and innovative environment.

Under the supervision of the Service Supervisor, the Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks across various buildings, ensuring they function safely and efficiently. This role involves inspecting the work and services provided by subcontractors or service providers, while adhering to Black & McDonald’s codes of conduct, health, safety, and environmental policies, as well as any specific protocols set by clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a rotation of HVAC maintenance and document readings
  • Change filters, belts, and clean coils as necessary
  • Perform daily operational tasks, including equipment adjustments, inspections, and cleaning
  • Execute additional tasks as agreed upon with clients and Black & McDonald

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical role related to HVAC services and equipment
  • Experience with Building Automation Controls is an asset, but not mandatory
  • 5th Class Power Engineer certification, including Fireman's Certificate, is advantageous but not essential

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Capability to work on ladders or scaffolds at various heights
  • Ability to lift up to 30 kg, involving bending and lifting
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces, with training provided
  • Must successfully pass Federal Government Security Clearance
