  • Position Overview:
    The Battery Management System Engineer plays a crucial role in assisting design and release teams within manufacturing and assembly environments. This individual collaborates closely with the lead Client and Pack Integration DRE, software engineers, technical specialists, and other engineering personnel to ensure the effective implementation of the Battery Management System in battery pack assembly and vehicle integration.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop and validate Client calibrations.
    • Conduct Battery End-of-Line (EOL) testing, assist in troubleshooting, and document issues for resolution.
    • Support problem-solving initiatives by analyzing EOL data using Vector CAN tools, INCA, or plant diagnostic tools, along with visual inspections.
    • Contribute to the creation of EOL tester change requests.
    • Assist in change control processes and establish clean points, which may involve part relabeling or offline re-flashing as necessary.
    • Establish and document new requirements, best practices, and lessons learned, with guidance from Client engineering.
    • Support vehicle triage and systems-level troubleshooting of the battery pack on the assembly line, while also being flexible to address field issues.
    • Demonstrate expertise in data collection, post-processing, and analysis during calibration release DVP activities.
    • Analyze functional models to identify root causes and document controls and software issues that hinder calibration progress. Conduct virtual and in-vehicle testing to achieve calibration maturity at each vehicle milestone.
    • Collaborate with the center of competency to review issues related to functional areas and integration, following best practices and methodologies for calibration.
    • Assist with vehicle fleet and logistics activities.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering with manufacturing experience or equivalent education in manufacturing principles.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a business-focused mindset to quickly define solutions.
    • Experience with data acquisition and proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as INCA and Vector tools (e.g., CANalyzer).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
    • Proficient in application engineering principles.
    • Detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset.
    • 5+ years of industry experience.
    • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Experience with High Voltage Battery systems or High Voltage powertrains.
    • Background in Electronic System level troubleshooting and embedded controls.
    • Understanding of diagnostic fundamentals.
    • Extensive hands-on experience with INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalyzer, Canoe, and other electrical root cause analysis tools.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Onsite presence is mandatory.
    • Driving a Stellantis vehicle is required.
    • Occasional travel for meetings and training may be necessary.
  • Work Schedule:
    Monday to Friday.
