Position Overview:

The Battery Management System Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting design and release teams within manufacturing and assembly environments. This position involves close collaboration with the lead Client and Pack Integration DRE, software engineers, technical specialists, and plant personnel to ensure the effective implementation of the Battery Management System in battery pack assembly and vehicle integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calibration Development: Create and validate Client calibrations.
  • End-of-Line Testing: Conduct Battery EOL testing, assist in troubleshooting, and document issues for resolution.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze EOL data using Vector CAN tools, INCA, or plant diagnostic tools, and perform visual inspections.
  • Change Management: Assist in authoring EOL tester change requests and manage change control processes.
  • Documentation: Establish and document new requirements, best practices, and lessons learned with guidance from engineering teams.
  • Triage Support: Aid in vehicle triage and systems-level troubleshooting of battery packs on the assembly line, with flexibility to address field issues.
  • Data Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in data collection, post-processing, and analysis during calibration release activities.
  • Functional Analysis: Analyze functional models to identify root causes and document controls and software issues affecting calibration progress.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the center of competency to address functional area issues and follow calibration best practices.
  • Logistics Support: Assist with vehicle fleet and logistics activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business focus.
  • Experience with data acquisition and proficiency in diagnostic tools such as INCA and Vector tools (e.g., CANalyzer).
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a proactive attitude.
  • Attention to detail and process-oriented mindset.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in English at an advanced level.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with High Voltage Battery or High Voltage powertrain systems.
  • Familiarity with electronic system troubleshooting and embedded controls.
  • Understanding of diagnostic fundamentals and extensive hands-on experience with tools such as INCA, CDA, CAN, and oscilloscopes.
Additional Requirements:
  • Onsite presence required.
  • Driving a Stellantis vehicle is mandatory.
  • Occasional travel for meetings and training may be necessary.
