Position Overview:

The End-of-Line Engineer for Propulsion Systems is tasked with assisting design and release teams within manufacturing and assembly environments. This role requires close collaboration with the lead Client and Pack Integration Design Release Engineer (DRE), software developers, technical experts, and plant staff to ensure the effective integration of the Battery Management System into the battery pack assembly and vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calibration Development: Create and validate Client calibrations.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct Battery End-of-Line (EOL) testing, assist in diagnosing issues, and document findings for resolution.
  • Data Analysis: Support problem-solving initiatives by examining EOL data using Vector CAN tools, INCA, or diagnostic tools, along with visual inspections.
  • Change Management: Assist in drafting EOL tester change requests and managing change control processes, which may involve part relabeling or offline re-flashing.
  • Documentation: Establish and document new requirements, best practices, and lessons learned with guidance from engineering teams.
  • Triage Support: Aid in vehicle triage and systems-level troubleshooting of the battery pack on the assembly line, with flexibility to address field issues as necessary.
  • Data Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in data collection, post-processing, and analysis during calibration release Development Validation Plan (DVP) activities.
  • Model Analysis: Investigate functional models to identify root causes and document controls and software issues that hinder calibration progress, performing both virtual and in-vehicle testing to achieve calibration maturity at each vehicle milestone.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the center of competency to review issues related to functional areas and integration, following best practices and methodologies for calibration.
  • Logistics Support: Assist with vehicle fleet and logistics activities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with experience in manufacturing or equivalent education in manufacturing principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented focus to define solutions quickly.
  • Experience with data acquisition and proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as INCA and Vector tools (e.g., CANalyzer).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain a proactive approach.
  • Solid understanding of application engineering principles.
  • Detail-oriented with a process-driven mindset.
  • Several years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency in English at an advanced level.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with High Voltage Battery systems or High Voltage powertrains.
  • Familiarity with electronic system-level troubleshooting and embedded controls.
  • Understanding of diagnostic fundamentals.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with INCA, CDA, CAN, CANalyzer, Canoe, and other electrical troubleshooting tools.
Additional Requirements:
  • Onsite presence required.
  • Driving a Stellantis vehicle is mandatory.
  • Occasional travel for meetings and training may be necessary.
