Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking a visionary leader to drive systemic change and improve the health and well-being of Indigenous peoples. As the Vice President, Indigenous Health, you will play a crucial role in advancing health equity, promoting cultural safety, and fostering meaningful partnerships with Indigenous communities.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise and passion for Indigenous health to drive transformational change within the health system. You will lead the evolution of VCH's Indigenous cultural safety education and support the organization to deliver on relevant legislation, including the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (DRIPA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to advance health equity and promote cultural safety
  • Lead the development of Indigenous cultural safety education programs
  • Collaborate with leaders throughout the region to facilitate system transformation
  • Represent VCH in regional, provincial, and national forums to share, support, and celebrate the organization's commitment to uplifting Indigenous voices and advancing reconciliation
