Angus Consulting Management Limited is seeking a highly experienced Director, Project Management to lead our project delivery team in Toronto, ON.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the safe delivery of projects through effective risk management and principal delivery model.
- Recruit and retain top talent for project delivery and future growth.
- Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities.
- Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the satisfaction of all parties.
- Identify, reduce, and manage risks associated with each project.
- Maximize profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.
- Plan and develop long-term opportunities by creating a pipeline of opportunities.
- Liaise with colleagues' managers to determine and identify project opportunities.
- Create case studies to promote business and host key decision makers on site tours.
- Develop and manage all bids, tenders, and proposals.
- Seek out opportunities to generate projects through innovation and different technologies.
- Identify and win projects through effective relationships.
- Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, and other applications as appropriate.
- Contribute to Business unit strategy development.
- Deliver wider strategy and new process delivery across projects business ensuring compliance with project business governance.
- Manage Business unit forecast.
- Manage people issues and underperformance.
- Chair monthly and ad-hoc project review meetings covering all aspects of Health & Safety, Legislation, and financial requirements.
- Recognized technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar.
- Degree-level qualification in Project/Construction Management, engineering, or architecture.
- Experience of creating, presenting, and managing bids, tenders, and proposals.
- Willingness to travel on occasions to support operational delivery, participate in training, and business review.
- Accountability to the Business Unit Leader (directly) and Divisional Project Director (indirectly).
- Generation of project opportunities by building strong effective working relationships with customers and site teams.
- Full P&L responsibility for Business Unit.
- Compliance with ACML management policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ACML health and safety policy and process, while ensuring that they are effectively implemented across both ACML and its subcontractor's activities.
