Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Director to join our Technical Delivery team. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in data engineering, providing technical guidance to team members and managing a team of data engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance to team members on data engineering best practices and solutions.
  • Manage a team of data engineers, including developing, mentoring, and retaining talented project consultants.
  • Design and build data ingestion and transformation pipelines using classic and modern tools.
  • Establish standard design patterns and data flow documents for enterprise data warehousing solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on projects and ensure goals are achieved.
  • Work closely with other teams, such as data science and analytics, to understand their data needs and build systems to support their work.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, building data pipelines and warehouses.
  • ~2+ years of experience in leading a team of Data Engineers, including performance management, mentoring/coaching, and hiring.
  • ~ Solid experience with data integration, building and implementing ETL solutions.
  • ~ Familiarity with modern data engineering languages and platforms, such as Databricks or Snowflake.
  • ~ Degree in Engineering fields or related industry experience or acumen.
