Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Director to join our Technical Delivery team. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in data engineering, providing technical guidance to team members and managing a team of data engineers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members on data engineering projects.
- Manage a team of data engineers, including performance management, mentoring, and hiring.
- Design and build data ingestion and transformation pipelines using classic and modern tools.
- Establish standard design patterns and data flow documents for enterprise data warehousing solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on projects and ensure goals are achieved.
- Work closely with other teams, such as data science and analytics, to understand their data needs and build systems to support their work.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meeting high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, building data pipelines and warehouses.
- 2+ years of experience in leading a team of Data Engineers, including performance management, mentoring, and hiring.
- Solid experience with data integration, building and implementing ETL solutions.
- Familiarity with modern data engineering languages and platforms, such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- A degree in Engineering fields or related industry experience.
