Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Richmond Sweets. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.
Key Responsibilities- Food and Supply Management
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
- Staff Supervision and Training
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Quality Control and Customer Service
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns in a courteous and respectful manner.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and budgeting decisions.
- Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis to management.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
- Work Environment
- Fast-paced environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Work under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
- Physical Demands
- Standing for extended periods and physically demanding tasks.
- Personal Qualities
- Client focus and excellent oral communication skills.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
- Flexibility and initiative to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Permanent position with a regular schedule of 30 to 40 hours per week.
