About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at GOLD STANDARD SIDING LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
  • Site Preparation: Ensure work sites are safe and prepared for construction, adhering to building codes and regulations.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Installation and Maintenance: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as maintain and repair residences and wooden structures.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate work on sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Work Environment: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with physically demanding tasks.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
