Work Environment
At Assent, we embrace a remote-first work culture, appreciating the flexibility and independence it offers our team. We also recognize the value of occasional in-person interactions. Team members located within 50 kms/31 miles of our global offices can expect to work onsite at least once a week, while those near our co-working spaces are encouraged to visit monthly.
Position Overview
The Junior System Analyst plays a vital role within the IT Support team, reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology. This position is essential in providing both proactive and reactive support to Assent Inc., ensuring world-class assistance to all team members, regardless of their location. The Junior System Analyst will engage in troubleshooting technology challenges, developing knowledge base articles, and documenting issue resolutions for stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, service-focused, and exceptionally organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver systems support to stakeholders within Assent Inc.
- Manage and provision systems accounts, ensuring compliance with the Account Review policy.
- Oversee system monitoring as per established policies.
- Track various processes and report on their status.
- Assist in creating procedural manuals and train users on automated system requirements.
- Ensure high standards of IT asset management.
- Administer contracts for Assent's SaaS tools.
- Ensure adherence to technology systems and services procurement processes.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of ISO quality management audits related to IT responsibilities.
- Support day-to-day office administration, maintaining departmental records and reports.
- Collaborate closely with the Assent security team to resolve security-related issues.
- Work alongside System Analysts, covering their responsibilities during their absence.
- Exhibit an understanding of ethical business practices and maintain confidentiality, aligning with Assent's values.
- Follow corporate security policies and standards diligently.
- Ensure compliance with departmental security processes and procedures.
- College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems analysis, business or solution architecture, business analysis, or process improvement.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude in a dynamic setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with management, peers, and clients, demonstrating sound judgment.
- Familiarity with SaaS systems and services such as Atlassian apps, JAMF, Automox, Productiv, and Vendr is advantageous.
