Work Environment
At Assent, we proudly support a remote-first work model, valuing the flexibility and independence it offers our team. We also recognize the benefits of occasional in-person collaboration. Team members located within proximity to our global offices can expect to engage in office work at least once a week, while those near our co-working spaces are encouraged to work onsite monthly.
Position Overview
The Junior System Analyst plays a crucial role within the IT Support team, reporting directly to the Director of Information Technology. This position involves providing proactive and reactive support to Assent Inc., delivering exceptional assistance to all team members regardless of their location. The Junior System Analyst will engage in troubleshooting technology challenges, develop knowledge base articles, and communicate issue resolutions to relevant stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-focused, and highly organized.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver systems support to stakeholders at Assent Inc.
- Manage and provision systems accounts in accordance with the Account Review policy.
- Monitor systems as per established System Monitoring policies.
- Oversee various processes and report on their status.
- Assist in creating procedural manuals and train users on automated system requirements.
- Ensure high-quality management of IT assets.
- Administer contracts for Assent's SaaS tools.
- Ensure compliance with technology systems and services procurement processes.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of ISO quality management audits related to IT responsibilities.
- Support day-to-day office administration, maintaining departmental records and reports.
- Collaborate closely with the Assent security team to resolve security-related issues.
- Work alongside System Analysts, covering their responsibilities in their absence.
- Demonstrate understanding of ethical business practices and sensitivity to confidential matters, aligning with Assent's organizational values.
- Adhere to corporate security policies and standards.
- Ensure compliance with departmental security processes and procedures where applicable.
- College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in systems analysis, business or solution architecture, business analysis, or process improvement.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving abilities.
- A collaborative team player with a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with management, peers, and customers, demonstrating sound judgment and reasoning skills.
- Familiarity with SaaS systems and services such as Atlassian apps, JAMF, Automox, Productiv, and Vendr is preferred.
