About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Officer to join our team at Island Home Furniture. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Business Strategies

Develop and implement business plans to drive commercial growth and expansion, aligning with the company's overall vision and objectives.

Market Research and Analysis

Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.

Team Supervision and Development

Supervise and develop a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.

Marketing and Communications

Develop and implement marketing strategies, including online marketing, e-commerce, and website promotions, to increase brand awareness and drive sales.

Business Planning and Development

Develop and implement business plans, ensuring that all necessary licenses and permits are in place and that the business is operating within regulatory requirements.

Reporting and Analysis

Prepare reports, research papers, and educational texts on marketing strategies and business development, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or a related field.

Experience

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a business development or commercial role, or equivalent experience.

Skills

Strong business development and marketing skills, with experience in developing and implementing business plans, conducting market research, and supervising teams.

Computer and Technology Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as other relevant software and tools.
