Mechanical Design Engineer for Vehicle Development

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled mechanical designer to join our engineering team, reporting directly to the Team Leader of Vehicle Engineering. This role is crucial in shaping the design, development, and validation of various mechatronic systems for recreational vehicles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop detailed parts modeling and technical drawings (GD&T) throughout the vehicle development lifecycle, from prototype to production.
  • Assist in the assembly, testing, and validation processes of prototype vehicles.
  • Engage actively in the configuration of vehicle specifications.
  • Collaborate with fellow designers and engineers in the creation and enhancement of new components, systems, and vehicles.
  • Work alongside various suppliers and coordinate with design, production, purchasing, quality assurance, and manufacturing engineering teams.

THIS POSITION IS IDEAL FOR YOU IF YOU POSSESS:

  • A technical college diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent design experience.
  • A solid understanding of mechanics and strong 3D visualization skills.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Catia V5 or Solidworks.
  • Effective communication skills in both English and French (written and spoken).
  • A collaborative spirit and a passion for tackling challenges as part of a team.
  • A keen interest in devising creative solutions to emerging problems, with a reputation for innovation.
  • Additional unique skills that could enhance our team dynamics.
