Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Lead Process Engineer specializing in catalyst management within the refining and petrochemical sectors. This role will require relocation to a key operational hub.

Company Background: Our organization is a leader in the exploration, production, and distribution of crude oil and natural gas. We operate across various segments, including Upstream, Downstream, and Corporate services. The Upstream segment is focused on exploration and production, while the Downstream segment emphasizes refining, logistics, and marketing of petroleum products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance the performance of catalysts and absorbents used in our manufacturing processes.
  • Manage inventories and conduct techno-economic evaluations to optimize catalyst selection and performance.
  • Support pilot testing and provide technical assistance to ensure optimal catalyst functionality.
  • Analyze operational data to monitor key performance indicators, including product yields and deactivation rates.
  • Prepare and present quarterly performance reports, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Facilitate benchmarking workshops to share best practices and set performance targets across facilities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to conduct regular catalyst pilot testing and vendor performance evaluations.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing contract costs related to catalyst procurement and management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in oil refining or petrochemical operations.
  • Proficiency in process engineering simulation software.
