About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Retirement Actuarial Internship program at WTW (Willis Towers Watson). As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced team of actuaries and consultants to gain hands-on experience in retirement consulting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, funding, pricing, and implementation of retirement programs
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking analysis of benefit plan designs
  • Develop professional expertise in retirement plans, including technical knowledge and skills
  • Work with a wide range of associates at all levels within the local practice
  • Perform asset/liability modeling and actuarial pension valuations for clients
  • Assist with completion of plan reporting and filing requirements
  • Perform plan administrative tasks, such as benefit calculations and plan document reviews
Requirements
  • Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in actuarial science, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
  • Progress towards the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Associate of Canada (ACIA) designation
  • Work experience demonstrating strong technical and client service skills
  • Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed client expectations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
