Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Prince George Regional Correctional Centre. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients with undifferentiated diseases, illnesses, and conditions within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Prescribe medications and provide first-line care in emergencies.
  • Establish priorities for patient management and provide follow-up treatment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Eligibility to complete the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) through the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
