About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addictions Counsellor to join our team at the Charles J Andrew Healing Centre. As an Addictions Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to clients, focusing on coping skills, relapse prevention, and goal-setting
  • Collaborate with clients' healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Develop and implement educational programs for clients and their families on addiction and recovery
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with addiction
  • Strong knowledge of addiction theories, models, and treatment approaches
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
