Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addictions Therapist to join our team at the Charles J Andrew Healing Centre. As an Addictions Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing individual and group counselling services to clients struggling with addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide one-on-one and group counselling sessions to clients, focusing on coping skills, relapse prevention, and goal-setting
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients
  • Develop and implement educational programs for clients and their families on addiction-related topics
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counselling, psychology, social work)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with clients with addiction issues
  • Strong knowledge of addiction theories, models, and treatment approaches
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
